Vision & Mission
The aim of this course is to prepare the trainee teacher to screen, assess, educate and train persons with autism in individual and/or group settings.
Need of the hour
In conclusion, Autism is rapidly growing and Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Research Center& Sunderji’s Global Academia feel it is important to have such a course so that trained people can be created to help individuals with Autism and families of individuals with Autism. This one-year intensive, hands-on training course is a small step towards that goal.

Outcomes of the course
- Understand the characteristics and etiology of ASD and associated conditions
- Be familiar with the process of screening and diagnosis of ASD
- Be acquainted with the stages of child growth & development and psychology of learning
- Understand the objectives of general education, and organization of special education services
- Plan and implement educational programs, selecting teaching methods suitable for people with ASD, keeping in mind the specific needs of each individual concerned.
- Develop suitable educational programs for individuals with conditions associated with ASD
- Understand the needs of family and promote integration of person with ASD within family and community.
